Sharon Johnstone’s macro photos of dandelion seeds have been doing the rounds lately, and I for one am happy to see as much of them as I can.
They are truly beautiful.
I don’t know why, but I still get super excited when I find a new British artist that I love.
I’m pretty sure there’s some kind of pseudo-nepotism-type word for it, but I just get all happy when I find someone I love over here in Blighty.
Yasmeen Ismail is the latest source of my joy, and this will not be the last you see of her. She’s based in London and has a vast portfolio with plenty of glorious illustrations for you to get your teeth into.
“Fresh Words Market is a line of modern art for the spaces where adults and children meet.”
It’s a glorious space for you to hunt for your latest wall adornments.
Not least because they use 20% of every purchase to fund children and women centred initiatives round the world.
Rory Dobner is a straight-up genius. He has many beautiful and lusted over talents, but my current favourite are his intricate ink drawings and the personalised initials.
They are exquisite.
Above is a gorgeous example of his ink work - how can you not adore it?
Life drawings by Flickr user GreyIsTheColor make every day a little bit brighter.
AND he lives in Seattle, so we can tell he’s a true winner!
Head over there and look at his portfolio - it’s astonishing.
Valentine’s Day is a long gone memory, but that’s no excuse not to love this print ‘51 Love Stories’ by Paul Octavious.
It embodies everything I love and I want it framed and on my wall, pronto.
Martin Stranka, a photographer from the Czech Republic, is an award-winning photographer with an astonishing portfolio. I shall let the work speak for itself, so long as you head to his magical portfolio.
I cannot get enough of Mark Mawson’s set ‘Aqueous Floreau’, and I cannot encourage you enough to go and check out the whole set.
Make sure you’ve cleared a nice space on the floor for your jaw to hit.
Angryblue’s weapons of mass creation seem to be making the rounds on all design blogs of late. I’m glad. They’re great.
It’s totally worth revisiting the work of Aled Lewis.
He featured here a while back, but I’ve since got a megaton of new followers, so guys, this here post is for you.
Aled Lewis is a badass illustrator and designer from London, whose Toy Stories prints are wonderful, funny and now completely ownable as prints.
Boss.
