This typographic print is first in a series of three, each of which explores the effects of erosion and weathering on the printed word.

The total print size is 11 by 17 inches with a printed area of approximately 5 by 6 inches, not including the bits and pieces of eroded words eroding, cracking, falling and piling up. The image is printed on white, heavyweight Moab Lasal paper.

The text itself is taken from a 1971 essay on experimental typography by the German designer and typographer Wolfgang Weingart, and is set in the Univers typeface. Univers was designed from 1954-57 by Adrian Frutiger
